Just the other day, a transmission triggered epiphany - one on the meaning of freedom, perhaps a life lesson that needed to be learned through experience.
Throughout my 20s, I believed freedom equaled time, money, health and the ability to do whatever desired whenever desired. I thought barriers to freedom were being an employee, lacking money, and limiting leisure time. Working in corporate America equaled prison. Not having funds to travel or do whatever I wanted was limitation.
Hence I made alterations and tailored a life devoid of anything that could block ultimate freedom. However why wasn't doing whatever you wanted any time you wanted "freeing?"
I began to sense a lack of purpose similar to the feeling of traveling for so long that even the most majestic landscape becomes ordinary.
Only recently do I FEEL that freedom is who you are mentally, emotionally and physically within an infrastructure. Whether you are picking grapes, lounging on a raft in Bora Bora, gliding down the Alps, working a 9-5 office job, teaching yoga, running a company, or operating within any environment, freedom is in self and presence. Freedom is the enjoyment of everyday moments - people, relationships, signs of progress and connection.
The initiation of healing work and teaching yoga this year has proven to be a path of newfound emotional and mental freedom - helping others, connecting, sharing knowledge from experience, and spreading light in a new manner.
I am excited for the mystery, excitement and journey of 2017 and hope this share opened something for you to carry forth into the new year!
