I have never been to the Dead Sea but think I found the closest place to it in LA: Just Float.
Upon transitioning from majestic Hawaii back to the City of Angels, concrete and cars, I wanted to observe every detail in re-assimilation with the same care and attention as transitioning between Yin Yoga shapes.
Desiring to keep the Aloha vibes high so far I have jumped into the ocean at sunset, been eating tropical fruits and coconut, using Muse Bath's Aloha mist, keeping calm, and FLOATING.
If you are unfamiliar with flotation therapy, in a nutshell, you shower and enter a closed tank filled with body temperature air and salt water. You lay still on your back, press the start button, and float in a dark, serene space. The temperature is perfect and the boundary between your skin and the water/air dissolves.
I like to stay for 1.5-2 hours and fall into deep meditation. Sometimes it feels like sleep, other times like active meditation. Colors swirl in the mind's eye, visions, and clarity arise.
Afterwards, your skin and hair radiate with shine and silkiness.
Even as I lay in bed at night before sleep, my bones seem to be floating and drifting apart in a gelatinous substance. No one practice has created space so instantly in my body. Huge effects are felt after one session!
We are all different and therefore need and respond to different self-care practices. If you are looking to cool off, tune in, go inside, even back to the womb, create space in the body, and heal on all levels, I recommend flotation therapy. ~
