Breathe, Stretch, Center ~ Gentle Yoga for Physical Transmutation
In this class, you will be guided through yoga based breathwork, stretches, gentle movement and meditation to fortify and optimize the body. Breathwork purifies and balances your pranic body while gentle movement and stretching helps heal the physical vessel. Lengthening muscles and fascia while creating space in the joints opens the physical body which in turn expands all other bodies including the mind because they are connected. Practicing mindful awareness by directing attention to the breath and physical body during class allows you to notice sensation and to begin exploring deeper aspects of self.
Yoga means “union” and is a practice that facilitates integration of our subtle bodies and connection with the divine. Our physical body is a sacred container for our energy, a vehicle for soul expression and the anchor of all subtle bodies to Earth so proper care is important to embodying our highest selves. As we continue mastering our breath, optimizing the flow of energy through our physical bodies, quieting the thoughts and training our bodies to be still, we enhance our abilities to focus, astral travel, reach higher states of consciousness and experience freedom and bliss.
This class is for complete beginners to seasoned practitioners. All are welcome to attend!
Please bring a mat and water. A blanket and meditation cushion are optional.
